(1)Conveyor belts should be stored in a warehouse to avoid exposure to sunlight and rain; contact with acids, alkalis, oils, and organic solvents should be prohibited. Maintain cleanliness and dryness, and keep them at least 1 meter away from heat sources. The room temperature should be between -15℃ and 40℃.
(2)Conveyor belts should be stored in rolls without folding. If stored for an extended period, they should be turned over once every quarter.
(3)When loading and unloading conveyor belts, it is best to use a crane with a beam-equipped sling to lift them smoothly, avoiding damage to the belt edges. Do not handle them roughly to prevent unrolling and slipping.
(4)The type and specifications of conveyor belts should be selected reasonably according to the usage requirements and specific conditions.
(5)Different types, specifications, models, strengths, and ply counts of conveyor belts should not be connected (grouped) together for use.
(6)The best method for splicing conveyor belt joints is hot vulcanization, which can improve reliability and maintain a higher effective strength.
(7)The diameter of the conveyor's drive rollers and the minimum pulley diameter of the conveyor belt should comply with relevant regulations.
(8)Avoid snake-like or worm-like movement of the conveyor belt. Keep the idlers and vertical rollers flexible, and maintain an appropriate tension.
(9)When the conveyor is equipped with guards and cleaning devices, avoid wear on the conveyor belt.
(10)Cleanliness is a fundamental condition for the proper operation of conveyor belts. Foreign substances can affect the belt's eccentricity, tension differences, and even cause breakage.
(11)If early signs of damage are found in the conveyor belt during use, the cause should be identified and repaired in time to avoid adverse consequences.
